My son thinks he is slick

My oldest suddenly wants to be transferred into a particular creative writing class. I asked him if there was any reason he wanted to be in this class. He told me that he wants to be a better writer. Al has always been a lazy writer. Good speller, awesome vocabulary, but lazy as the day is long. NOW he wants a writing class? I asked him if he had friends in the class and he said no. I'm still not buying it. I don't know why he is over here trying to play with me when he knows I'm going to be all in his business. Strike that. He doesn't have any business. Shoot.
