This afternoon, I volunteered at Al's school. I usually try to get as much done possible, so that means I don't have so much time to gossip with the other moms. Which is a good thing, because we get to know each other on a nice pleasant basis, and I get work done. The only real hurdle I ran into today was this broad who thought she owned the copier. From the way she tried to talk down to me, one would think she actually was getting paid for what she was doing. I had to mentally count to ten. I was sitting there like, I've forgotten more about printing than this broad will probably ever learn. So then I asked her a highly technical question about the capabilities of the copier so she could look stupid and then I moved on with my day. Petty, yet satisfying. I see why teachers keep their starry bucks on hand. I'd need a little somethin somethin too to deal with parents like that on the regular.
When I think on the fact that my beloved water and juice vending machine has been removed from the premises, I guess it's a good thing everything else went smoothly. :)
